Facebook has introduced verified accounts similar to Twitter. Now you’ll know what brands, public figures and organizations are legit. Anyone can make a Facebook page, but now we’ll know who is for real, and who isn’t.

Is Facebook copying Twitter, or is the coveted blue check/verified account simply a copy cat of Twitter. Users will not be able to request verification, so be patient if you think you need/deserve one.
